Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane backed his decision to join the German giants, while expressing confidence in ending his long-standing trophy drought. The 31-year-old forward, despite being the club’s top-scorer last summer, failed to win a trophy.
Harry Kane‘s €110 million move to Bayern Munich was seen with optimism by many fans, who backed the forward to win his first piece of silverware. However, the 2023-24 season ended in disappointment as Bayern ended up in the 3rd position on the Bundesliga table, with Leverkusen ending as winners. They also failed to advance past the semi-finals of the UCL, despite Kane scoring 45 goals all season. Some pinned the blame on the former Tottenham player, labeling it as the ‘Kane curse’.
Having also failed to win the Euros after reaching the final with England, Kane recently spoke about his decision to switch to the Bundesliga. He stated that he had no regrets over his transfer, calling it as the ‘best decision he ever made’. He also highlighted the atmosphere in Munich, exclaiming that he has been enjoying his time at the club while also remaining confident over winning trophies. Moreover, the Englishman reiterated the importance of the team’s success as a unit over individual achievements.
Joining FC Bayern was one of the best decisions I've made in my life. I'm enjoying every moment of it so far. I want to carry on the way I started last season, but the important thing is that we win trophies.Harry Kane on his decision to join Bayern Munich (H/T: GOAL)

England and Bayern Munich star Harry Kane claimed the 2024 European Golden Shoe award after finishing the 2023-24 season as the highest goal-scorer in all of Europe. He netted a total of 49 goals with both club and country.
Kane was handed the award at Bayern’s museum, becoming the first English forward to win the award since Kevin Phillips in 2000. He pipped ex-PSG star Kylian Mbappe and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland to win the award, also becoming the third Bayern Munich player to win it.
