Planned projects include Kirkham Hot Springs Day Use Site upgrades, Banks Access Boat Ramp, Trinity Rental Cabin and four more campgrounds near Sage Hen Reservoir. These enhancements total approximately $10 million and aim to provide better recreational facilities and preserve the Forest's natural landscapes.

A list of all recreation sites proposed for new or increased fees can be found on the Boise National Forest website. Comments will be received through the close of business on Sept. 4, 2024, and can be sent in the following ways:

All comments will be reviewed by Forest Service staff once the comment period ends. The final proposed fee changes will be presented to a citizen's resource advisory committee. Their recommendation will be submitted to the Forest Service Intermountain Regional Forester for a final decision, and if approved, the new/increased use fees will go into effect in 2025.
