BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Eighteen home games and 10 postseason competitors highlight the 2023 Boise State softball schedule, head coach Justin Shults announced on Thursday.
The Broncos will take on regional participants Georgia (Feb. 10), Ohio State (Feb. 11), Wichita State (Feb. 17), Michigan (Feb. 24-25), Washington (March 3), and Grand Canyon (March 3) and face Super Regional participants UCF (Feb. 10), Stanford (Feb. 25-26), and Arizona State (March 4).
Regional-contending and defending Mountain West champion San Diego State visits Dona Larsen Park for a three-game series (April 28-30) to close out Boise State home slate.
The Blue and Orange will kick off its season at the UCF Black and Gold Tournament (Feb. 10-12), followed by four more tournaments at San Diego (Feb. 16-18), Stanford (Feb. 24-26), Grand Canyon (March 3), and Arizona State (March 4-5). A three-game series at home (March 11-12) against Portland State leads the Broncos into conference play.
Nonconference competition scheduled after MW action begins at BYU (March 21), Utah (March 22), and a three-game series, including a doubleheader, against LMU (April 1-2) and single game against Idaho State (April 26) at Dona Larsen Park.
In addition to the Aztecs, the Broncos host Colorado State (March 24-26), Nevada for a doubleheader (April 12), and Utah State (April 21-23) for conference series. Road trips for conference will take Boise State to UNLV (March 17-19), New Mexico (April 6-8), San Jose State (April 15-16), and Fresno State (May 5-7).
