After weeks of hard-fought battles, the last CS: GO major has finally come to an end. The EU powerhouse Team Vitality has defeated the underdog GamerLegion convincingly with a 2-0 score to win the CS: GO Paris Major 2023. Even though Vitality was the fan favorite to win the tournament, many fans were there to support the GamerLegion in this David vs. Goliath battle of the finals. Vitality dominated the whole Champion Stage and managed to win the tournament without dropping a single map. GamerLegion, on the other hand, also looked unstoppable and gave everything they had to win the whole thing.
It might be a home advantage or something else, but Vitality’s dominance in the Paris major will be remembered for a long time. They dominated the Legends stage by winning all their matches, breached Into the Breach, and dominated Apeks to make their place in the finals. Even though GamerLegion is the 22nd-ranked team, they also performed well in the tournament. GL even defeated the Heroics in an epic battle and gave the Heroics their biggest upset.

Team Vitality is your last-ever CS: GO major winners,
GamerLegion picked the overpass, and Vitality picked the Nuke. The first map of CS: GO Major kicked off with a great pistol-round win for GL. With the pistol loss, it seemed like Vitality had a great challenge ahead of them; however, they decimated GL on GL’s map pick with the 11-4 half. Thanks to ZywOo and Spinx, Vitality managed to bring down GL on their knees on Overpass. GamerLegion again won the pistol round in the second half and thanks to Isak’s 4k on round 18, they brought the score to 12-6. But Vitality stomped through them in the remaining rounds to close map 1 with a 16-6 score.
Map 2 was where things became very interesting. GL started throwing hands on Nuke and it became a little bit more competitive for Team Vitality. GamerLegion closed the first half of Nuke with a major lead of 10-5. This time, GamerLegion had a bigger advantage. It seemed like both teams were going to Inferno for the decider, but Vitality had other plans. They covered up this big gap and leveled the score in round 26. After this, Vitality won all the remaining rounds one-sided to win their map pick with a 16-13 score and take the win home.
The IGL apEX has managed to take his team to victory to win his career’s first major. The whole stadium was backing Vitality, and this team didn’t disappoint their fans on French soil. All members of the team played their roles perfectly, especially ZywOo with his deadly AWP to silence GamerLegion. With this epic win, Team Vitality will go down as one of the greatest and last-ever CS: GO major winners.
It was the first time Team Vitality came this close to winning the major trophy, and eventually, they managed to pull off the whole thing. The greatest AWPer, ZywOo, was crowned MVP. It is his first CS: GO Major win. The IGL APEX had the most assists in the game. In addition to that, it was the fifth CS: GO Major win for the Dupreeh. Fans can arguably say Zonic is the best CS: GO coach ever, with his fifth major win as coach.
