BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — According to a recent news release, Idahoans must dial new phone numbers to reach the Idaho Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) beginning on April 8. The DMV is changing to a new phone service provider.
The release says the DMV can offer better customer service and faster calls with the new provider.
New numbers for the general public and commercial vehicle customers will be announced on April 8. The old DMV number, 208-334-8000, will still serve Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) business unrelated to the DMV. Customers who call ITD looking for the DMV will be given the new number for some time.
