Popular Nollywood actor Emeka Enyiocha has said when it comes to nudity, Nigerians have no reason to worry about the Nigerian movie industry.
According to him, unlike the music industry where the music is not properly regulated, the censorship board in Nigeria controls the kind of content that comes out as such nudity in movies is regulated.
Speaking to Punch’s Saturday Beats, he said the music videos released these days can be compared to soft pornography but not movies because the movies are regulated unlike music videos.
“Nudity is prevalent in the music industry, not in Nollywood. There is practically no music video you would see today without someone being semi- nude in it. The musicians just do their thing, but I don’t know if there is a way they can cut (reduce) it. For Nollywood, the Censors’ Board is there to regulate what they do. Right now, our music videos can be compared to porn,” he said.
