ESPN broadcaster Laura Rutledge is well known for her sports commentary and notable online presence.
With nearly 180,000 followers on Instagram, she frequently goes viral over her various far-reaching posts.
This weekend, however, Rutledge ended up going viral for something else entirely.
At an SEC Nation event on Saturday, a heartbroken little boy broke down in tears after failing to see Tim Tebow. Apparently he had a book he wanted the former Florida star to sign.
That’s when Rutledge stepped in.
Not only was did she get Tebow on Facetime for the youngster, but she also ensured that he’d get a signed copy of the book.
The photos from the encounter speak for themselves:
Awesome move by @LauraRutledge today after SEC Nation. This little boy was in tears because he missed Tim Tebow, he even brought his children’s book to sign. Laura got @TimTebow on FaceTime and saved the day! Now Tim is sending him a signed copy of his book. LOVE IT! 🧡🤍 pic.twitter.com/9MT2T7R5pT

In a college football season marred by an SEC reporter being blasted for her overly “revealing” wardrobe and clear bullying of team staff, it’s great to see someone doing so positive for a child in need.
Hopefully Rutledge continues to get the praise she deserves for her selfless act.
