John Smoltz was a huge piece of the Braves team success in the 1990’s, as he is arguably the most popular Braves pitcher in franchise history. Without a doubt, Hank Aaron is the greatest player to ever put on an Atlanta Braves uniform, and some argue that he is even the greatest player to ever put on a baseball jersey. In 1966, Hank Aaron led the league in home runs hitting a towering 44 of them, and also led the league in RBI’S, driving in an immaculate 127 runs. He also had a batting average of .279, and was a National League All-Star in 1966.
