A young boy who made international headlines last year after he was internally decapitated following a crash in southern Idaho is well on the road to a full recovery.

Killian Gonzalezruptured his spleen, broke his arm and multiple ribs in a crash last summer.

But the worst injury he suffered was a clinical decapitation, a rare condition where his skull separated from his spine. His mother told KBOI 2News that the chances of survival were less than 1 percent.

But Killian slowly recovered and this week his family shared pictures of just how well their little boy is doing.

The young boy has fallen in love with wrestling and recently won a medal (something he wears to bed).
